New York’s hottest hotels are among the most affordable in the country, according to a new report.
Hotels in the Big Apple, including the Wynn, the Sheraton, the Four Seasons, and the Four Winds, were all among the 50 most expensive hotels in the U.S., according to the 2016 American Hotel Association rankings.
The ranking comes as hotel occupancy continues to rise nationwide and as hotels are looking to improve their bottom lines.
For example, Marriott International Inc. is considering relocating to Mexico and has said it would be a good place to expand operations.
Hotel occupancy in New York City rose more than 1% to 4.34 million last year, according the hotel association.
The city also recorded its largest increase in room rates for the year.
The average hotel room rate in Manhattan rose more by 9.3% to $1,638.
