Craigslist, the online marketplace for sellers of used and refurbished furniture, has released its 2017 list of lowest-priced stores for furniture.
Craigslist’s annual survey of used furniture stores reveals a slew of stores that are offering great deals for items like furniture, pillows, beds and so on.
The list of low-priced shops includes all but one of the nation’s largest furniture chains, Kmart, which had an estimated $1.6 trillion in sales in 2016.
Crafters, which sell handmade items for people who want to sell them on Craigslist, are also showing impressive returns on their purchases.
For example, an online tool for creating and selling jewelry and other jewelry items, Etsy.com, had a $30 million valuation in February and has since turned a profit.
Crafter Michael Gee, who co-founded Etsy with his brother, Michael, said he hopes to turn his business into a nonprofit.
Etsy sells jewelry, home decor, handmade items and accessories, including antiques and antiques related items, to individuals around the world.
Etsy has a strong online presence and an extensive community of sellers.
Etsy co-founder and CEO Pierre Omidyar, whose $100 billion eBay Inc. is the largest online marketplace in the world, has said he would love to see Etsy be a “nonprofit” like eBay.
