The $2.5 million Star Wars consignment is one of the largest and most sought-after items at the Los Angeles auction house.
It was purchased in November, when Disney announced that it would not be selling the film for another 20 years.
“I’m thrilled to announce the completion of this Star Wars connoisseur’s treasure trove,” said Mark Hamill, co-founder of Disney Imagineering.
“This incredible collection is now a testament to my passion for the beloved Star Wars films, which will forever remain my favorite.
We have many treasures to share and are thrilled to share them with you in a collection that truly speaks to the imagination of our fans.”
The collection includes over 300 original films, as well as more than 30,000 props, costumes and props from various sets, costumes, sets and movies.
“We are thrilled that the collection will go to a new owner, who will be able to continue to expand it and enrich it with all kinds of unique and interesting objects,” said Robert M. Kimmelman, CEO of Star Wars Auctioneers.
The sale is being held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles.
The collection, estimated to be worth around $10 million, will be auctioned off on May 13, 2019.
It will go on display at the Disneyland Resort, Disneyland Park and Disneyland Resort California, as a part of the “Star Wars” collection.
The original “Star War” films are a collection of more than 200 films that feature the original Star Wars and all subsequent films.
The first film, “The Empire Strikes Back,” premiered in 1977 and starred Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Andy Serkis and Kenny Baker.
The second film, which starred Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford as Stormtroopers, premiered in 1983 and starred Carrie-Anne Moss, James Earl Jones, Alan Rickman and J.J. Abrams.
The third film, released in 1985, starred Carrie and Harrison Fisher as Jedi Knights, played by Mark Hamil and Carrie Fisher.
The fourth film, entitled “Return of the Jedi,” featured Harrison Ford and Carrie as Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker.
The fifth film, titled “Return to the Old Republic,” featured the Jedi Knights in the Star Wars galaxy.
